Humans are basically social animals. This concept or ideology ties up naturally with Luo culture, which is based strictly on community way of life, and total contribution to your kind. To try to go it alone would, in Luo, tantamount to self destruction and possibly death.
However, this Luo ideology contrasts sharply with the European psychology and philosophy, whereby individuality drives everything in life. It is manifested in all spheres of of European life: politics, economics, sociology, the so called religion, and so forth.
For a good understanding of this dogmatic way of life, consult Cheikh Anta Diop; the Senegalese scholar, who in 1974, shocked the world of Euro-centric scholars by not only confronting them, but also providing ample and authoritative evidence that shows conclusively that black Africans were the first to civilize the world. For a short clip on this watch below.
Another warrior scholar who has also demonstrated convincingly that Europeans are the real anti “Maat” or what we the Luos called “Ma ati’, is Dr. Mirimba Ani in her classical discourse on the subject published in her book “Yurugu”.
These scholars have clearly dissected how Europeans view the world. Their points of view are totally opposing the Luos of Africa. Yet to live in the world, you have to work with others. This is the pillar of consultancy.
To do proper consultancy, you need not only to Plan and Organize; but also work as team to increase your Productivity.
It needs to be stressed therefore that without working in a team, you have missed the point about consultancy. In other words, consultancy is an ideology developed based on community, a key way of life for the Luos of Africa.
The Luos knew that using your own knowledge to survive was not practical either. This is another critical aspect of consultancy. It is advisable then that one needs to check out his/her knowledge by consulting one another. This is what a serious person does practically when he/she feels sick for instance. You consult a doctor or physician!
However, challenging your knowledge alone is not sufficient. It demands checking its currency, relevance and practicality. In other words, to employ old rusty knowledge may be detrimental to our life’s en-devours.
You need information that is fresh, relevant and practical to your situation.
The question then is this: do you have a problem, whether of a business-like or not? Whatever the problem is, consult us; we operate from and with the Luo ideology of community spirit. That is what real consultancy is all about. It is our Consultancy’s core ethic: working together with team spirit to solve business problems of any kind.
